Pori – Yyteri

Stage: Pori – Yyteri

The Pori–Yyteri stage is approximately 28 km long. It takes you from Pori’s cultural city landscapes through the stunning Kirjurinluoto and historic villa districts towards the sea and the longest continuous sandy beach in the Nordic countries, Yyteri. Along the coastline, the stage leads to its final stop, the rocky Kallo lighthouse island in Mäntyluoto. This beautifully rugged island is a renowned hiking spot and a storm-watcher’s dream, as well as one of Pori’s most popular photography locations. The route also seamlessly connects to the Bothnian Sea Experience Route.

The journey from Sastamala to Huittinen passes from the outskirts of the Finnish Lakeland region into the tranquillity of the countryside, crossing a stunning suspension bridge towards national park landscapes, carried along by the flow of the river.

As you travel from Huittinen to Kokemäki, you’ll immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes of the national park and idyllic village roads. This part of the route offers beautiful scenery, untouched nature, and the historic charm of riverside villages.

From Kokemäki towards Pori, the route takes you over stunning bridges from one riverbank to the other, following scenic riverfronts and rushing rapids as the river approaches the opening sea.
